I went back to Brazilian Jujitsu for the first time in months tonight only to see one of my rolling partners being rushed to hospital. Broke his collarbone attempting the Kyokushin rolling kick he'd been watching me practice since Talon gave me some hints on not winding myself and getting rid of the 'suicide kick' title. My first feeling was guilt. If he hadn't seen me working on that he might not have tried it himself but my first thaught was about waaaaaay back when I first started Karate and dislocated my shoulder attempting the Stone Cold Stunner. Didn't hurt my opponent at all, put me out for a few weeks while the muscles in my shoulder healed.
So lets hear about your martial misfortunes. Things you look back on and ask yourself "What were you thinking!?"

Aww...everybody wants to keep their egos in tact so they don't want to talk about their screw-ups. In my opinion if you don't screw up you aren't trying hard enough.

Yeah, that's one of the reasons I took so long to return to the grappling class after a back injury, messing with things is what they do and I really didn't want to stay messed.

odee- yeah you can't really mess with your back & spine it's pretty dangerous and I might be out for a while longer too becasue your right they like to mess with stuff lol @gunter- ouch that sucks I had something like that happen too when I was younger and they said it was soft tissue damage but it clicked and hurt like hell for a few months and I had to get it set because it was dislocated & didn't show up on xray because the placement.

Too bad nobody set up that insult for Gunter in the Mod Battle. That was a ripper. So how'd you bust your hand? Bare-knuckle skull shot or just bad luck in a glove?

Unless you live in a country like Australia. Somebody once pointed out that grabbing fifty kids off the streets of Italy will find you a better soccer team than nabbing fifty players from the A-League.

Top twenty yes but the top ten are in a different league to the top twenty and Italy are in the top five. I'll also point out that the guy who made the statement played for the Melbourne Storm rugby league team.

Melbourne Storm.....they r cheats! They won two premierships through cheating the salary cap! Australia is good at soccer too.
