For you computer illiterate folk, its the program you use to access the internet....so if you don't know, you're likely using Internet explorer, which makes you a terrible person.
Anyways for the rest of you, what do you use? I was a big Firefox fan, I hated chrome...because I use bookmarks alot, and I'm use to them constantly being open and on the left side. Petty I know...but Chrome wouldn't let you have them consistently open and it was on the right...but eventually I just decided to switch, so now I'm a chrome guy.
What about you?

I mostly use Firefox. Occasionally I used Safari. I have used Opera. I don't use IE that much. I don't use it in my home. If IE is what they have one computer that I'm using at the time I will use it. But I prefer not to use it. No real reason other than a preference.

Just switched from IE to chrome. I hate IE. There are things I liked, like being able to save web pages as archives. But chrome's adblocker addons are unbeatable. And chrome is much faster.

I had some government sites that required me to use IE. This was in the school system to send or generate reports for the department of education. I also had that with a military secure site for government and military personnel.
Also if you ever deal with tech support a lot of that is routed through some mid east country and some of them only know IE. If you share a screen with them they will be confused if you are using a different browser and will ask you to close that one and use IE. They can't do anything if you are using an Apple.

Firefox. Tried Chrome, didn't care for it. It's sort of like comparing Android to iOS with Firefox being Android. Chrome is a simple and clean browser that works, Firefox is more tweak-able. I like Firefox.

I use chrome for home use. It's just really streamlined and easy to use. Unfortunately routinely forced to use IE at work because its the only one that seems to interface properly with all these corporate systems.

I expected more people to say IE. Most people in corporate world the only thing they know is IE.

@jw- that's true. We (my company, internally and in our product offerings) officially support IE. IE has a number of features that make it important to have; but the same is true for the other browsers also. So I use IE when I have to, but I use Chrome when I want to.

Well, I had to make the switch. After moving to a Windows 8 laptop (an awesome one at that, touch and convertible into a tablet), I've found that Firefox just doesn't work as smoothly on the new OS quite yet. They're a bit behind on getting it optimized for Windows 8. To be fair, so is Chrome. Neither is optimized for touch yet. I have trouble tapping the back and forward buttons for example and have to use the mouse, however Chrome operates much faster and more smoothly than Firefox on Windows 8 as of right now and to enough of a degree to cause me to make the switch.
So long Firefox, my old friend...
