what have you guys thought of TUF recently? I feel as though the show is 1 not as entertaining 2 people fight to conservatively which is understandable it's the biggest fight of there life but it makes it boring 3 The show doesn't put out as good as talent as it has in the past. the only good part of this season to me was Julian 'let me bang bro' Lane's drunken antics who is going to get his ass kicked by my friend George Sullivan febuary 2nd.

This season sucks. I haven't really ever paid attention to TUF...but this next season I'll watch religiously, and I'll make sure my unborn children watch it.

It's always made me think of my first MMA match, they all fight to not lose rather than fighting to win.

yeah the tactics are usually different & I always try to fight to win bit sometimes it's hard if your outclassed or overpowered.

I hear that but a lot of these guys just go straight on the defensive, it's the same reason they can't earn a contract in the regular season. Not because they aren't accomplished fighters but because they withdraw into themselves under the pressure of their big shot and limit their own ability to fight by not wanting to over-step. It makes them boring.

yeah I agree 100% because for the fans it's about watching a good fight not a one sided beating on a guy defending himself the whole time.

I remember how people hated Conduit's win over Diaz. He just kept on the move and only struck when it suited him. If he'd pulled that in his first match he would have been awarded the win but not the contract.

I never seen it but I could imagine.
I'm glad many lay & pray guys are getting better at scrambling & subs and are being more offensive too which is great for the ground game & it's been happening for a few years & I hope it keeps up like that.
Like lesnars stockade on mir was epic and all wrestlers should learn it IMO to avoid laying & paying like his earlier fights.

Funny how so many BJJ fanboys claim that nobody understands and it's tactical. Everyone understands that lay and pray is tactical, they just can't see the fun in it because it's extremely boring.

I see lay & pray as you've established dominance & now you have to use your advantage from their to finish the fight.
but I think thats a wrestlers view point.

That's what it's supposed to be but people who really are laying and praying are making no effort to finish the job, they're just stalling for time.

I guess the thought of losing position & being in danger is too much risk for some guys and they would rather ride it out and "win".
But I don;t think you should win for control alone because it's not friggin wrestling
