I don't know why I never think of throwing things. It's so damn basic.

I don't know if I should facepalm or use my hands for applauding that bit of wit. So I'll use them for typing. Well played sir!

You see it heaps in movies......how useful is a chair for self defense? Especially against knives and bladed weapons?

That's actually an interesting question... I wouldn't mind getting a plastic training knife and a bar stool or something and seeing how well that works.

I feel all traditional weapons have a place now as they all can be beneficial to the person using them but like Glutton said, the Karambit is a weapon I feel still have a place. I know many police officers who use the Karambit for personal self defense weapons as it is compact and lethal.

Jackie Chan loves his stool. I think a lot of collapsable camping chairs are light enough and complicated enough to make great disarming tools and shields, they'd bend under a solid hit though.

a chair or stool will works very well against a weapon such as a knife. think out side the box

If they offer their head I'm going to take it - hopefully right off with my snazzy camp chair. I will miss that seat though...
