Hah the funny part is you having to rely on my 'communist country' for a reliable source of bacon.
Go take a real martial art Muay Thai fanboy.

The nice thing about being a Muay Thai fanboy is not freezing up like a deer in headlights when a fist is coming toward the face. Besides, no Te Tut and Kyokushin guys would be breaking their feet left and right because you stole our kick to begin with.

Yeah right when we came to Thailand to put you in your place on your own turf in 1964.

You know...I almost felt bad about that Keyboard...then I remembered who you are and how many people you've upset over the years, you've turned it into an artform, a hurtful art form but arty nonetheless.
You should thank Oyama for stealing that kick Glutton. He proved that the only way for a Karateka to beat a Muay Thai student is to do what the Muay Thai student does, only better.

Yeah right when we came to Thailand to put you in your place on your own turf in 1964. You mean when Oyama's top 3 students came and won 2 out of 3 fights against Muay Thai fighters that nobody had really even heard of? Awesome. Now let's count how many successful fighters there are in Professional Kickboxing and MMA from both disciplines and watch how big the gap gets when you scratch off Andy Hug (who had to cross train in boxing to be successful) and GSP. EDIT: Forgot to mention, the Thai tend to be pretty small people and I believe all of the Karateka outsized their Muay Thai opponents.

I have yet to see a Karateka kick down a tree. And while making the sexiest kicking sounds of all time I might add. Reminds me of the sounds KW's mother made last time she came to visit.

Better? I have yet to see a Karateka kick down a tree. How about kicking down a bear? Or a couple of Muay Thai students? We just found the answer to why is Glutton fat? Because every time he makes KWs mother cum she gives him a cookie.

The fighter that lost in Thailand was a replacement for someone who couldn't go. Also, the Thai challenged Oyama if I'm correct in that case they were either over confident or not smart enough to send their best.

The bear video is retarded. That's a trained bear if I've ever seen one. Let's see him take on a pissed off bear bent on killing him. He won't even try, I promise.
And a couple of fights from 1964 where the winners pretty damn well outweighed their opponents don't override the immense domination of Karate by Muay Thai since then. Karate has it's occasional successful fighter and other Karateka start nuthugging that fighter, but the best fighers in Kickboxing and MMA currently around are by far and away mostly getting their striking skills from Muay Thai.

It's not like the tree was hitting back either. Of course he won't do it again, Big Willie has been grey for almost thirty years now.
I think that has more to do with connections and what a teacher can offer than it has to do with technique. My Kyokushin teacher could get me a good number of kickboxing fights and Martial Arts tournaments to choose from but he simply didn't have any connections within the MMA community. I was in a cage match within three months of joining my current gym, also, in all the time I've practiced martial arts (admittedly, not a huge lump of years) I only ever encountered one full-time Karate dojo - Kyokushin Honbu in Japan. I don't know what the situation is like in America but in Australia and even Japan it seems to be the case that Karate teachers just don't do all-hour gyms or get jobs as gym instructors. If a Karate student wants to go pro at fighting they're pretty much forced to take up one of those three styles.

It's funny you should mention that. It's nearly impossible to get Fosters in Australia, we export that troth-water because it's horrible. America and Ireland are the only countries that export the same stuff they actually drink.

That can be attributed from the fact that more fighters are taking Muay Thai as their primary striking art. If more people took traditional arts from quality schools then there really wouldn't be an abundance of Muay Thai strikers.
