yeah I've seen that before like my dads 1& 2 punch combo the jab is super slow so you defend against it and it hits you anyway because you parry to fast then the cross hits you too lol
I think it has to do with cause & affect like I can get a more solid throw if I do it slow but doing it fast it will be harder but whats more effective? the one who hits harder or the one who hits more often? or is it a matter of personal taste?

I'd like to learn how to do it but maybe these guys don't really know how to do it themselves.

I think your right & it's more something you pick up rather than get taught.
I think timing is a big part but mine is bad so I can;t say shit lol

Heh. Try line dancing, not the bumpkin kind, the boot-scootin' type.

Bumpkin line dancing is just for fun, it's casual with a lot of stomping, clapping and yeehaw-ing.
Boot-scooting is footwork that would blind a lot of boxers. I tried to find some on Youtube but I don't really have the speed to wade through all the wannabe's at the moment.

I know line dancing I just don't know the terms but that boot scooting sounds really interesting to me if it's got good footwork.
And a lot of people don't know this & it's not commonly taught outside jun fan gung fu but our footwork is based on dancing, boxing & fencing lol

Boot scooting is a kind of cross between tap dancing and line dancing with real emphasis put on the speed and show of each step. Hot shoe shuffle.

Neither can I. I plug away at the boot scootin' thing because every single one of my teachers believes that stepping speed is far more important than fist speed. That and nobody teaches tap dancing in my area.

try punching from sitting down & using all the fist fist speed you want and it will never be as good as from standing and using proper footwork.
You should try the cha cha

You need a partner for that. Boot scooting and tap can be practiced alone. Just add music. Funny thing about dancing, it's the only time you can manhandle a girl without it being considered some kind of assault. I think I mentioned it once on Yahoo but dancers can show their manliness a lot easier than martial artists and they're never considered violent while they do it. I wish I'd learned to dance as a kid.

Girls go absolutely mad for a guy who can whirl them around like a 50s swing dancer. Take a dancing partner who has no intrest in you and she'd be the ultimate wing-man, other girls see that and you'd be an instant heart-throb.
