I got an Iphone 5. Been wanting to make the switch for a while now, but to me it always seemed like a glorified itouch, and I didn't need another one with just phone capabilities. The fact is that it's just nice. I have absolutely no issues with it. Most phones I have always have one major issue with it thats hard to get past. The only other phone I had that didn't have issues was my blackberry. I know I'll be sticking with my iphone for a while.

The iPhone 5 is awesome. I can't get one through my plan, though. No iPhones are or ever will be available under my special plan because Apple doesn't like to give discounts on phones and my plan includes further discounts.
I'm not too bummed, though. I'm very familiar with both iOS and Android and I actually prefer Android. It's a little more flexible. For example you can drag and drop shit from your computer into an android phone and use it as an external memory source to transfer data around. You can't do that with an iPhone. You can also completely change the whole interface to fit your own likes, also not an option on iPhone without root access. Depends on what you like. I like the versatility, but I do wish there were Android phones built with the attention to detail and quality radios of the iPhone.

I had an evo before my iphone. I hated it. I hated the interface and it got progressively slower over time. It was a nightmare of a phone.

There are 3 reasons your Evo sucked:
1. The Evo kind of sucked anyway but people kept talking about how great it was just because the Android system was improving.
2. HTC is terrible at shelling out updates.
3. Android doesn't have a registry, but it does have a cache that needs cleaning out at times from apps like CacheMate.
The iPhone is much less prone to bogging down for sure because of how dead simple the operating system is. It's got less going on for it and runs super light on the phone so it doesn't really get slow. The trade off is more up to date software features on Android for a more dead nuts reliable platform. Just gotta pick your poison. I'm used to both interfaces since I have to sell and teach people how to use both and we have both types of devices in the house. After working on both, I actually could live with either, but at the moment I like the Android OS just a little better.

It's still a good phone. Nobody's going to talk smack about a 4s. It's basically the same thing as the 5 but not as thin and with 3g, but it has FAST 3g still.
I'm planning on getting an S4 at the end of the month.

I have a rather cheap phone, the OS is android base (which base I can't install apps), but it works to watch youtube, check email and stuff. I don't need anything fancy since i'm in front of a computer most of the day
