EDIT - PLEASE READ THIS: The massive amount of video here may make this thread difficult to scroll through. Give the videos time to load. Please be patient with it. I've found clicking the sidebar to scroll down is easier than using the scroll wheel. Sorry for the inconvenience. I hope everybody can get something useful from this thread.
This thread is going to be dedicated to GOOD quality training aids for those who train with firearms. Firearms training really is a use it or lose it skill. If you don't train at least once every month, you're not going to be able to perform with your chosen weapon system. Preferably, you should even be hitting the range at least once a week if possible. To anybody that hasn't trained in the last month, I urge you to hit the range immediately or discontinue carrying your firearm because weapons are not toys and those who do not train enough to maintain proficiency as much as possible are more of a liability in our society than an asset.
That said, for those who would like to get out and train I will be posting the best training videos I can find. Why? Because while professional training is always the best way to learn to use your weapon, it's not always something we can afford. I've been through courses in the past, and they can get quite pricey. I know plenty of shooters who simply can't afford it. Basic information on how to safely and effectively defend your life with your chosen sidearm is important. Everybody deserves to be able to access that knowledge. Thanks to YouTube, one of the best sites on the internet, we can find fantastic information at no charge. I'd like to share the best finds I can with you guys/gals.
EDIT 2 - ESSENTIAL: Do not forget the 4 basic rules of gun handling:
1. Treat all weapons as if they are loaded AT ALL TIMES. No exceptions.
2. NEVER point a firearm at anything that you are not willing to destroy.
3. ALWAYS be sure of your target AND what is behind your target.
4. Keep your finger out of the trigger guard until your sights are on target and you are prepared to fire.
These three videos are ones that I post in every applicable forum I visit. They are by far 3 of the best videos on pistol shooting on the net. I hope you guys can benefit from them.
This chart here is also something I find worth putting up. You can print it out and use it as a target that will give you feedback based on where your rounds land when you hit the range.
