JKD is a philosophy, not a martial art, to use what works for you and discard what doesn't.
You can apply the JKD philosophy to any martial art, and even life.

friendlyvirus you are right. Jun Fan Gung Fu is the actual art and Jeet Kune Do is the training method, philosophy. I heard names be called Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do and I don't know about that though...

aaronj- Yeah I've taken up a few different styles of cooking so far to improve my skills lol I use my JKD to blend it without it being just a few things mashed together that too many fusion cooks have a problem with & if your a foodie or chef you know how hard it is to find standout fusion cuisine compared to standout traditional cuisine. It's the same with my martial arts training I don't just mash techniques together but I learn what makes the technique work and and why works then proceed accordingly.

Zen Do Kai even integrates a lot of JKD philosophies & the founder formed this style because of Bruce Lee's influence & philosophies. & I believe these teachings are not just for martial arts class, but are excellent for life as well & have integrated them into mine & my children's, they have helped me through some very tough parts of my life & even with my eldest boy who has Asberges syndrome {A type of Autism}, not only controlling his behavour but helping him control his own. Bruce Lee & JKD rules!!!
