Watch the entire thing. It's very controversial, but also very well explained. Feel free to share your views here.

I like this guy. He makes some very good points. His definition of racism, is my same definition of racism. Bigotry is holding those preconcieved notions about someone based upon their race/ethnicity. Racism is when you have the power to act on it....whether your someones boss, and you fire them over their race/ethnicity, or you gerrymander poor black districts in such a fashion that their votes don't really count....thats racism. If you don't have any power, then you can't really be racist. But remember, power comes in many forms.
And while I don't argue with his assumption, that gun laws orgins may have been race based, I don't really agree that those are institutions still in place today. We have 350 million people in the United States. Of those 350 million people, a large majority of those people are very stupid, and I would not trust them with a firearm. No longer are those laws in place to stop certain races from purchasing firearms, but they're to add bureaucratic layers, that some people just aren't willing to go through to get firearms. Will it stop someone from getting a firearm? Probably not, but its better than nothing. It's a safety issue. And while I'm not about infringing ANYONES rights, regardless I would still like to see one less stupid person without a firearm.
