I've been experimenting with Animal Pak. It's a multi vitamin. It consists of 12 pills...24 if you take the daily reccomended dosage....But its giving me stomach aches, even on a full stomach. Anyone else deal with something similar?

I never had that response. That is way too many pills for me. I used to try to use some supplements, But I'm giving up on making those guys richer. The risks outweigh the benefits. From what I learned in my nutrition classes last semester they do more harm than good. Your body will not even digest most of the supplements. Meaning it just goes down the toilet.
Our bodies must have the correct percentage of enzymes/emulsifiers to break down nutrient in order for absorption. Supplements aren't balanced that way. They often come in mega dose like bigger is better. But too much can irritate and or poison your system depending on what the supplements are. This is why many things you have to cycle or you have to flush with large amounts of water or they will damage your liver. I've come to the conclusion that they aren't worth it. I don't want to be 10 years from now finding out those supplements are now banned because of the damages that it causes over a long period of time that they didn't know about.

Yeah that shit turns my piss florescent yellow. It's kinda cool. But yea, I've read studies about how multi vitamins, get absorbed into the body, and which method is better (liquid vs pill) and I think pill is probably the best. I haven't read a whole lot into the damage it causes, but I'm sure theres some validity to it.

As an ex-medic & ex-male nurse I have never been a fan of supplements...as they are just that supplements. they are designed to give your body what it is lacking from your diet, due to fast life style, rigorous exercise/training, dietary restriction {eg glutton free , nut allergies etc} stress etc. The majority of supplements on the market are synthetic or man made, therefore the body finds them hard to absorb & use...this can even lead to stripping of the stomach/bowel lining, indigestion & even ulcers if taken in large amounts, the discoloration in your urine is due to the fact your body can't store some vitamins like vitamin C & some b complexes, so flushes them out. Your best bet is to eat more fruit & veg, which your body can absorb easily or go to a registered natural heath food/supplement store & seek advice on what they have. &... I can not enough emphasis on this... drink 8 glasses of water a day {up to 12 on hot or high workout/harder days}. As it not only keeps you hydrated, it also helps you absorb the nutrients you need , flush out the toxins & balance your metabolism.

I take some stuff here and there, but I don't go crazy with it. I take some fish oils and I bite my multivitamins in half so that I'm not hitting the bathroom to pee every 10 minutes. I take the bare minimum and no more. It makes me feel better and more energized throughout the day sometimes so I find it worth it. YMMV. If you don't like supporting the industry, I get it.
My dad's been taking Phosphetidylserene for years due to a doctor's recommendation. It's to help him keep from feeling retarded from the brain damage he incurred as a drug addict. He loves the stuff. I think if you're being smart about taking things and you know why you're taking them, then supplements can be a good thing.

I used to take alot of vitamins, on a regular day it'd be something like this daily:
multi-vitamin Vitamin C Biotin Ginseng B complex Glucosamin Fish oil .....and others I cannot remember, I did this for about 13 years.
I used to go to the bathroom 3-5 times a day, probably from taking so many pills, last year I bought a juicer, so I do a veggie juice every morning, a mix of green leafy veggies and carrots/cucumbers,tomato, I cycle them. I also added fruit, at least one orange and one apple a day.
I eliminated all pills except the one for the joints , my body is now thankful.
As far as other supplements I take some caffeinated drink before working out early in the morning, and a protein shake at night.
