Well, I'll keep this simple, I have a tournament on Saturday morning (10:00A.M.) Keyboard Warrior has definitely helped me out with everything I ever needed in Y!Answers on past tournaments. Regardless, what foods should I eat to give me the most energy? Should I even eat anything at all? In past tournaments all I really ever ate was simply an apple or a banana. Except those were small gym vs. gym types. I'm actually preparing for this one. The tournament is Grappling-X by the way. If any of you have heard of it. Thanks in advance!

Bananas are good, so are protein bars, almonds and look into honey sticks. Honey sticks are good because the glucose gets absorbed into your body quickly, and gets turned into immediate energy. So eat some honey sticks 20-30 minutes before your match.

Drink a glass of full milk {natures energy} & a glass of water about an hour before your match along with the foods KW suggested {awesome suggestion BTW}. Good energy boosters & hydration.{see my answer on why hydration in the pills & supplements section, it helps heaps & has worked amazingly for me}

not the most PC answer but , i use to let a coke or pepsi go flat over night and take it for a quick hit in the last part of any tournaments i was in, sounds bad but it worked , i dont have a high sugar intake really so it use to hit me with an unnatural burst of energy. bad but it worked.

Idk about anybody else but when I use milk with a protein shake before a workout before that gives you the.....poop feeling... lol. You could always take a pre workout supplement about 20-30 minutes before your match.
