Hi all
As a former Boxer who learns a TMA, which TMA's go well with boxing? Which TMA's would be easier for a Boxer to learn and adapt to?

The thing you need to pay attention to when trying to decide what martial art to suppliment what you are already training, or have trained in the past; is how it affects your learned mechanics.
Once you figure out whether or not you wish to reprogram your body mechanics, you can then start breaking down the different martial arts by the way they will negatively impact your answer.

With the mechanics in mind, I was told by a friend to do Taekwondo. He said that the Taekwondo stance is fairly high and mobile like a Boxers so there would be less change from say Shotokan which has the lower and deeper stance.
This is what I meant, which TMA's would be less of a change in body mechanics etc from Boxing

Easier isn't the right term here but the ones that would force them to adapt the quickest would be Muay Thai, Kyokushin Karate, Savate and many of the the styles that have been derrived from those styles. The reason I say this is that students from those styles tend to favour kicking the legs as a method of slowing their opponent down. Fighting is difficult with no legs, even people who favour grappling struggle when their legs don't work which is why they put hours into low kick defences and toughening exercises. The other options would be outright grappling styles and throwing styles. Learning a different martial art is rarely easy, nor should it be.

any style can be added to it, traditionally that's what was done, when something worked better they used it.
like how guns replaced swords even though swords worked for 1000s of years and are still deadly, but guns are better especially if you know how to melee with it.
