What's the worst injury you've sustained from doing martial arts? How long were you on medical leave for?

I don't get injured very often. I'm always sore but never fully injured. I hurt my shoulder working on takedowns with my coach. I heard a loud pop and I was in alot of pain. I wanted to keep going but my coach insisted I go home. He told me I couldn't come for a week. It still hurt after a week, but I just didn't tell him. It's fine now.

Not to sure there is any serious injuries you can get from kickboxing, maybe a concussion or a rolled ankle. I personally never been injured from it. I think the most serious thing i ever got was a sprained my wrist after landing the wrong way from being thrown from the clinch.

It would be a toss up between one of my trips to hospital with concussion or the back injury that has put me out of about five or six months of training.

I'd say either a broken nose or boxer's fracture. I've known other boxers who've had terrible injuries ranging from retinal detachment to serious brain damage.

I've had a couple more than I would've hoped for:
- a concussion from getting kicked in the head (probably more from hitting the floor but nonetheless) - fractured ankle from falling on it - a load of bruises, sores, and other minor injuries

Injured knee/leg from a takedown where I landed badly. I couldn't walk for about 3 days, workout for about 3 months, and my right calf hurt alot for about 2 years. The knee popped out of place and was out for about a month.... should've gotten checked out Never delay it or the damage gets worse.
