Other than self defense or fighting or fitness?
It just seems that its main purpose for a majority on this site and yes the 3 things i mentioned self defense, fighting and fitness are key aspects your going to get out of the arts,but what else is there in it that keeps you ticking over.

I just do it for fun to be honest haha everyone needs a hobby, martial arts is mine.

It gives me something to focus my addictive personality on so I don't self destruct with old bad habits lol.

For me it's also a way to prevent depression, if I'm active and my mind is busy, I don't get depressed
