So, I know some of you fatties want to lose weight but think you can't; some of you twigs want to add muscle but think it's too hard; most of you are geezers who think it's past your prime; some of you couldn't bribe a referee to win you a competition; most are not at the belt level they want to be because they think they suck, etc.
Well, I'm here to tell you: you're right.
That is, so long as you keep this mentality. Keep calling yourself a failure, saying your goal is too far out there and thinking "sure, others have done it but not me" and you will always be the person you are currently unhappy with in at least one regard.
Who cares that it's a new year? Nobody. But it is a good point to start your goal at because you can look back--in January of 2015--and see how far you've come.
So, CagedDojo, what are your goals this year?

Mine is a variation of last years. I was 135lbs and I sought to be 150lbs by this time. Well, I am 161lbs. This year, I'm looking to get to 170 with a body fat percentage of 6-8%. Currently I'm 161 and about 12% so I have a lot of work to add muscle then cut fat and maintain muscle but I know I can.

Land a decent job. The job market's been tough, and 2013 was not a good year for me in the Job department, so I might join ROTC and have them pay for grad school.

I too need a good job. I got fired in 2013 so that is definitely a top priority as well.

Mine is similar to KW's, to find another job, one I can actually enjoy.
