One of the joys of naturally falling in the heavyweight division is I don't really need to diet or count calories. Just eating reasonably healthy and training hard keeps me at a happy 95kg/210 pounds. It's probably good that I only get to attack KFC once a month though.

What are the weight classes like where you compete? If 205 is LHW, why not just drop 5 lbs instead of fighting at the lowest end of Heavy?

I'm not an expert on this subject but both my fitness trainer and one of my mates who's a body builder tell me dividing your meals into 5 per day instead of three increases metabolism. Body thinks it doesn't need to conserve the energy (it gets it all the time) so it burns it.
Ofcourse eating good foods is most important but i think this is a good additional strategy.

Because the lowest end of heavy is 85kg/188pounds. I'd have to chop a limb off to get below 90kgs.

I should give that a try maybe it will help speed things up since just cutting sugar is way to slow since I still eat crap but I don't think I can change that unless I go to food rehab or something because I'm pretty sure I'm addicted to junk food lol. I've always fought heavy weight since highschool it kinda sucks I'd love to get to 205 it would probably feel more natural but I don't even know what I could drop to.

My appetite is becoming less the longer I go. I didn't realize exactly how much I was pigging off during my break from it. Now, thinking back, I ate a lot of crap. It's lucky that I didn't gain any weight back during that time.

As an ex-medic & ex-male nurse I can tell you a lot of what's been said is correct.Empty calories, not drinking soda/pop etc. What you need to do is take in less calories than you are putting out. So even though you can't run kick etc..you can still do arm exercises from a seated position/press ups, sit ups & the like you just have to slightly modify them to avoid strain on you ankle eg/press ups with knees on a chair etc. You also want to eat your biggest meal at the start of the day & your smallest at the end, & do not eat after 7pm as your body/metabolism starts shutting down for sleep. Drink water 8 glasses a day minimum, as this helps flush out excess waste & if you start to get dehydrated your body tries to retain water, kinda like when you don't eat breakfast it tried to retain energy by transforming it into fat {especially sugars/glucose & of course actual fat}.Also make sure you drink a glass of water with your meals it not only helps you feel full but helps you digest your food. Try to eat foods that are filling like oats, brown/grain breads, rocket lettuce, popcorn {good news very little calories if you do Not add butter or salt to it} there are other foods but you look them up on line. Good luck!

Ugh rocket lettuce is nasty. I tried to get around that horrible throat tickling thing they do when you chew them by blending them but they taste nasty too.
