I shoot fireballs they are called blue angels lol
I do chi kung too but I see it different than lot`s of people like try holding your breath while exercising & then do it while breathing and it will be much easier to do if you breathe.
chi is the same symbol for air in chinese and its the same thing just more what you can do with your air as opposed to just breathing though.
I don't really think you can shoot fireballs because the amount of calories you would have to expend would be in the hundreds of billion kilojoules which would be like eating an entire herd of cows and a few corn fields which is something a human just cant do.
You can't get something from nothing you have to trade off.

good don't hold your breath lol it's just a demo thing I like to show people to explain my chi theory where you need air to get energy and without it you have no energy.

if u don't think chi gung has much of an effect why do u still practice it? u must think it has sum thing behind it right?? There's something to it, but it's basic. Just like the effect of doing pushups is building up the chest and arms or the effect of standing on one leg for a long period is developing balance, the effect of breathing exercises and Qigong in particular is better circulation and more oxygenated blood which gives a more awake and alert feeling and allows for longer training sessions.

The benefits of qigong training will vary with the amount of training you do and what your specific exercises are. It took me three years to actually see that the light has come on. My training started at a few days a week, just like you, for the first several months or so. Then, I upped it to every day, one hour in the morning and one hour in the evening, for the next year. In the third year I was doing about 4 hours a a day seven days a week.
The results, yes oxygenated blood, (which in an environment proven to disallow cancer cell growth) also, there is a gelatinous structure within the body which when stagnated is like glue drying and binds muscular tissue reducing movement. This can be remedied by any movements within the full range of motion, and is by no means exclusive to qigong. There is a peace of mind that you will find through the meditative practices of qigong. Also, in practicing qigong, you are actually moving your body in a different manner than if your were to say train in weights, which will greatly improve your martial abilities, as long as you continue to train proper sparring and other methods in your martial art.
@ the others bent on arguing the validity of the qigong practice, and sticking to only the laser and chi blast aspect of it.... Stop, there is no need for all of that, and it wasn't the topic posed by the questioner. Nobody said anything about chi balls.

I've been practicing Qigong for awhile now and I find it greatly helps me in my form and concentration. My focus and actual execution of my techniques feel more powerful (even if its just psychological or not). I start with the Chi ball exercise, visualizing the sphere and then separating it into my 2 hands then slowly performing my katas, I find it makes me keep my focus and strength in the moves.
Have you had an experience in any of the Qigong exercises yourself? I find doing the Qi ball meditation makes my hands heat up and start spazzing and tingling

I've never had that before:S the most I've experienced atm is just the rush of blood to my hands when I'm doing the hard qigong, doesn't feel overly noticeable tho, just barely recognisable really. with soft qigong i just feel relaxed of course. we don't do much visualisation like the qi ball thing in my style
