So I have a series of tournaments and a fight coming up. And after a year of inactivity, and eating what I wanted, I've put on about 45 pounds. So I'll post my diet as way to help me. Feel free to post feedback. So I'm on day 3 of my diet.
Day 3:
Breakfast: Oatmeal
Lunch: Two beef patties with cheese
Dinner: Protein Shake (skim mlik)
Water: 4 glasses

That's all you're eating? You're not eating enough considering you are burning a lot of calories from your jiujitsu training and possibly other supplementary training. It's going to be extremely difficult to maintain that kind of diet without running into chronic fatigue and later killing your metabolism.
I would recommend you add an actual meal for dinner (drinking the protein shake as a snack instead, maybe post workout) and increase your water intake to 1 gallon a day. I don't know how you can stay hydrated only drinking 4 glasses a day lol (I'm an excessive sweater though).

Drunior is right. If you're cutting carbs, you still need to keep the calories. If your intake of both is too low you won't lose the weight because your body will slow your metabolism to try to compensate for the lack of nutrition. Keep the carbs low, but get another meal in.

Thats always been my problem....I can cut and do whatever....and I know I need to eat about 1200 calories a day....and I'm not purposefully counting calories, but I just can't get up there at the end of the day. That an making myself eat 5-6 times a day have been the most challenging.
Believe me, I know all about nutrition and how the body works. And eating that many times a day seems just excessive to me. But I'm gonna have to.

they have an app for that now, to count calories for you. you need to add some more into that diet.

I did that app thing for a day, and I'm like, I'm not gonna enter in all my meals. As I said, I have no problem following a diet, and eating certain things. Problem for me is, eating the right amount. I'm too lazy. But meh, I'll figure something out.

i dont know how big your glasses of water are but you should drink a gallon a day if you are training. and no cheese. but don't starve yourself. this is what i ate in small portions lost a lot of weight. it is all about getting your metabolism going good. also you shouldn't be eating after 6pm. Breakfast – Fruit, Carbs and Protein, you should eat more carbs now then any point in your day
Snack – Light carb and/or yogurt
Lunch – Clean meat, fish, or chicken with green vegetables and small portion of carbs
Snack – protein drink or bar
Dinner – Protein and green vegetables
good luck!

I've been doing about a gallon a day, usually when I start cutting for a tournament. Cheese has been my best friend. Meat patties as well, and protein shakes

Think to look at it is keeping your metabolism up, you end up without enough fuel your body is going to go into ketosis and start burning protein instead of carbs and you end up hosing yourself more than anything up.
MyFirtnessPal Ap, is pretty awesome as far as calorie counting and giving you a complete exercise journal and such.
It also counts your calories burned to add... for example you give your demographics, current weight, where you want to be, and how long, and it gives you a calorie count for the day, you put your info in, and your exercise in.
So let's say it gives you 1500 calories a day, but you burn 500 calories, it adds it to what you can eat (so for that given day you could eat 2000 calories because your net calories ist still 1500). I don't know I think it is pretty cool if you are an app driven dude, especially because it has an awesome database, and is a good place to keep track of gains in your lifts and such since you can chart all that out based on the app.
We all know the basic idea of eating healthy... whole grains, good amount of protein and greens, try to eat at least 4 meals a day, keep simple carbs at a low, and little to no carbs 4 hours before bed., etc.
