I'm finally coming out of my cast, but there's still discomfort in my Achilles Tendon from the injury (not everybody knows about it I'm sure, but I took June off for the injury). I already had Muay Thai paid off for the month, so that sucks. Maybe in a couple of weeks I'll feel better and be able to jump in, but we'll see. After taking the cast off and getting out and about with shoes on again my ankle feels weak from the month of immobilization and the tendon still doesn't feel ready to go, so it looks like my break will be extended further while I ease back into things. I'll be doing very light jogging to strengthen it up again and stretching it regularly, but it looks like I'll still be online way too much for a while due to my lack of training lately.
Just a note: Be careful in training, guys! If you have any signs of discomfort in your joints, slow down or take a break. Don't end up with a long term injury that plagues you for multiple months.

I know the feeling, a knee injury hindered my training for over a year, I still have a little trouble kicking and stretching my right leg.

i know the feeling all too well, and unfortunately i didn't listen to common sense and rest like i should have. worst yet i knew better as well.
im finally going to therapy for 2 of the 4 injuries i have, as soon as the insurances stops, ill add the other a few others into it..
its always important to get proper recovery time

I'm really not happy. Based on the speed at which I've been healing, I'll likely be out of training during August as well. FML.

Stay off of it. Don't fuck it up because you couldn't handle not training for another month. You've already let it heal this much....finish up, and come back strong.

That's the plan, but that doesn't mean I won't bitch and moan about it along the way.

Don't bitch and moan about it. Take up Tai chi or Yoga for a while and learn about healthy stretching and breathing. It might be a bit slow for your tastes but at least you'll be doing something active, you'll recover faster and get yourself some killer stretching practice in while you're at it.
