The place to talk politics and argue alot about such ;D Remember; we'll all differ on opinions and things will (hopefully) become heated debates, but stay respectful. - Healthcare
- Immigration
- Taxes
- Economy
- Gay Marriage
- Media Bias
- the Wars
- Drug Trade
- Medicare/Medicaid/Social Security
- Middle East
- Current/Former Administration
- Elections
- Abortion
- Founding Fathers
- Constitution
- Entitlements
- etc...
the list goes on. i'll start by saying i'm a registered independent. i voted Ron Paul in the primaries. i'm more closely associated with the Republican party but i'm not voting for Mitt Romney. i like Gary Johnson, Ron Paul, John Stossel, and the founding fathers. my political views come from free-market capitalism and libertarianism. greatest political thinkers EVER, Milton Friedman, Thomas Paine, Thomas Jefferson, and Ron Paul.

Canadian politics are bs and I don't know much about american politics so I cant really say much.
All I can really say is I'm glad I have free health care or if when my dad had his stroke I wouldn't have been able afford to take care of him unless I imported medication from mexico for 5 cents a prescription rather than paying hundreds of dollars a month for the same stuff & I'll gladly pay a few dollars from my check to make sure my fellow man is ok & healthy to live and I'm glad they do the same for me.

I wish our Healthcare was free here to, but it will never happen IMO. There are too many things that would have to change like personnel salaries and physician insurance fees. Americans love to file lawsuits.
I'm not in favor of the healthcare plan. I'm not in favor of any plan that force citizen to buy insurance. How can they tell me how to spend my money or what I can afford to pay?

I totally cannot believe America doesn't have free healthcare. Australia has since 1972 and Britain in the late forties. It's crazy you don't, we have had no problems. And we have a great private system too.

the health care has been on the list for over a decade, by several politicians and it keeps dieing in office. i agree JWbulldog i like canada method, they take x amount out of taxes to pay for it, which seems fair i also just found something as well which i now like even better, which if i did this right the pic is attacked Attachments:

I think elections are rigged in my country (canada) it's pretty sad for a 1st world country because there is no way the conservatives have been in so long with the way they have been running canada into the ground for the past 6 years and still going hard. kokoro yeah we do have a decent system but it could still use a ton of improvements IMO. @gunter- yeah we got it hee in 1946 here because we were brittain back then lol

here in Mexico the PRI were in charge for 75 years, then got a 12 years with another one, and now they are back.
the worst is that i actually want the elections to be rigged, because i dont want to think that the people actually voted for them.

Free healthcare is a cute idea but impractical simply because free means people will want to use it for every bump and bruise they get. this clogs the hospitals. we see this in Canada where it takes months and even years to get treatment because of all the clogging. if we simply got the gov't out of it and allowed doctors to set prices that patients agreed to (as car dealers do) the prices would come down. by giving everyone healthcare, hospitals can just up the charge because the gov't will foot the bill. and by gov't i mean taxpayers.
