Also, how long are you there for (20min? 45 min? 3 hours? etc.) and do you do a full regiment for muscle building and fat trimming or do you just try to keep generally fit for your Martial Art? I go every day of the week and i'm currently trying to build muscle mass. I'm fairly young so i have the energy to do this I usually dedicate each day to a different body part and spend anywhere from 45min to 1 hour in the gym.

It's a bit lame but work is strangling my ability to get to the gym. Optimum in my opinion was five times a week for classes and four times a week just for the gym. Three of the four gym sessions were before or after class and that left me with one day completely to my self and two partial days.

yeah, I've been hitting the gym 7 days a week cause it's summer and i have the time but i have no idea if I'll be able to keep that up when school rolls around. I'm also... er... "in between jobs" right now, so i can't even afford to attend Judo right now... so i figure get big get strong and stay fit for whenever i can go back.

When I am on I go for 4 days and take 1 off as optimal training. However, given work and such It's 6 days on 1 day off. practice is every day. Timing ranges from 2-2.5 hours depending on whether or not I want to swim. Practice is the same, as dedicated time.
Otherwise, I practice my mechanics all day everyday.
