^^ don't listen to this guy. the best fighters in the world are on the internet. duh, just google Anderson Silva. are you telling me he's not on the internet? ;D
in all seriousness, the goal ought not be, "be better than everyone else." it ought be, "be better than myself was yesterday." and therefore, listen to this guy ^^ Go train.

nothing is the next best thing to training. you can work out but that won't help your fighting at all really. do you have a sibling? grapple them. if not, you're kinda SoL

well since im in school right now i cant train without getting suspended-.- this is the next best thing, giving me ideas for when im not in school Why can't you train after school? Most classes are offered in the evening, around 5 or 6 at night. And its not like they last all night. So you should have plenty of time for homework and what not.

What's stopping you training in school? Run laps, do push-ups, sit-ups, burpies, squats or stretch. You can always train your fitness without getting suspended, technique, skill and experience are all poweful pillars in the fighting building but so is fitness. Being able to strike harder, faster and more often than the other guy is often the deciding factor when skills are even. If you have time to spare work on fitness.

I'm going to have to disagree with Odee. Practicing marital arts in school, is going to make you a target. If I saw someone shadow boxing in the lunchroom, I'd fuck with him. A basic cardinal rule of martial arts is that you don't let it be widely known that you practice martial arts, especially at school or bars, because chances are someones going to want to test your skills.

I never mentioned Shadow boxing, kata or any kind of forms for the excercise. I suggested excercises that exist in almost every kind of athletic training. I knew a guy who did karate in primary and highschool, nobody knew he did karate until he did a demonstration in our last month of highschool, we all thought he was some kind of gymnast.
