Im almost 22 am I too old to become good at martial arts? As in highly skilled

Nope. Just go train. How good you get has far more to do with the effort you put in than when you start. There are people who have started as children and never really been the best around and people who have started late and rocked the world with how friggin' good they were. If you want to do it, then do it.

You will never be too old to start your journey into the great world of martial arts, besides 22 is not old , in average a man is at his best when he is around 28 , that means that you still are full of energy and have a strong body.

Nah you're fine, another misconception about martial arts by the way.
The only thing that will get harder is becoming flexible which tends to get harder for everyone as age goes on. I started young but some people in my dojo just joined and are in their thirties.

Never to old, you want to get highly skilled, keep chipping away at it and your only as good as the people you train with, take a look at the people your training with do the top guys stand out to you as good?, if you want to be a good fighter train with and fight good fighters, you wana be a well-rounded MA train with the likewise.

Cain Velasquez, the current UFC Heavyweight champion didn't start training in MMA until he was 21. You are NEVER too old.
