What is are the striking techniques in Silat similar to?
Muay Thai?
Karate?
Kung Fu?

Pretty much every other stand up striking style. I haven't seen to many moves that were different except for the one where they kick you're knee. And even without knowing that was a real move I have been doing that in my muay thai sparring. I usually set it up with as soon as there moving in to punch i kick there knee and right hook.

Muay Thai and other Indo-Chinese kickboxing styles. Very similar due to contact as Indo-China is in South-East Asia (Silat can be found history from southern Thailand and Muay Thai comes from central and northern Thailand).
