Is it bad to learn another MA whilst doing another. I am learning Wu style Tai Chi Chuan but understand that it could be years before I can use it besides for health. Would it be wrong to do another MA as well so I have something to use in a faster time? I'm leaning towards Hung Gar or Wing Chun. Is there any harm in this? Is doing Internal and External MA's side by side bad?

I use Thai Chi for recovery alongside Muay Thai and Brazilian Jujitsu and used it for much the same purpose while I was still practicing Kyokushin. There are only four times I'd say practicing martial arts together is a bad move. *You're a newbie and lack the judgement to sift through conflicting ideas, beliefs and ideals from your different teachers. *It costs too damn much. *Your teachers get offended by you learning from others. *You constantly get injured by one and can't learn either. If you can find good full contact schools to learn at you generally get a better appreciation for what techniques actually do and will often find ways of gaining the practice to use them yourself.
