Have you ever smelled something and tasted it?
Maybe I'm weird but sometimes when I smell things I taste them and it makes me wanna puke... lighter fluid is one of them.

We import good beer? You mean we aren't judged outside the US by Budweiser and Miller? Woah... But on a serious note, a lot of good stuff is here. But with that said, France and Belgium produce some CRAZY good beers that don't taste like contaminated water at all. Chimay and Gulden Draak from my list are from Belgium and Fischer is from France. Fantastic stuff. As you may notice from my list, it's not a beer list that contains anything lacking in flavor. Most of them have tons of flavor, nothing like contaminated water. I don't do any of the beers on your list - period - except for Guinness and it's rare because there are so many better Stouts.

I forgot to add I also like
screech & coka cola rye & ginger ale bombay sapphire gin
I used to like mixing Ouzo with orange slurpees and making a tiger tail drink that's like the ice cream of the same name & really good.

Lighter fluid smell doesn't bother me, but I sure as heck wouldn't want to drink it.

...I'm a total foodie and I know that you are too so I'd wager a guess that we have similar tastes in many areas. Yeah I bet so too & I'm pretty sure we've talked a few times about food before if my memory recalls.

The Rye was pretty darn good. And yes, I believe we did.

That's odd. Most of the Americans I've served at the bar actually rate Bud and Miller pretty high on their favorites list, maybe that's just homeland pride I'm hearing. I remember in Japan I got a craving for vegemite sausages, the rest of the dormitory made crowds for the toilets when the smell of cooking yeast and bangers woke them up.

Budweiser definitely has a following, but it's not considered "Good Beer". It's considered one of the better "Cheap Beers" for those who want beer, but don't want to spend money on it. It's what's in all the stadiums, it's in every bar, etc. It's everywhere, but it's also watery and nobody would ever call a fan of Budweiser a "Beer guy". I have a friend who loves it, and when I ask him why it's because "It's beer, and it does the job." He doesn't like more flavorful stuff, so he drinks the beer that's easy to stomach to get the buzz. I'd say that's the Budweiser target group right there.

Probably. Still, beer isn't for me. I can't stand hopps.

You say that like it's a bad thing. Beer is for people with bad tastebuds.

That's where you're way wrong. Bad beer is for people with bad taste buds. Good beer is for people with good taste buds. You don't like any of it, so that places you in the category of worse than bad taste buds.

They make beer without hops like wheat beers & malt beers that are a lot better tasting IMO because they don't taste bitter & bitter = nasty. But if the malt is bad the drink is gross...
Some Scottish, Irish ales are malty and very low on the hops as are some Belgium beers
Also some flavored beers & dessert beer are good if they are made right.
Sweet beer is where it's at!

Is it really a beer if it isn't bitter? I mean, wouldn't that make it more of a cider?
