kane: I practice Taekwondo, BJJ, and Muay Thai. I use Taekwondo as my first martial art in terms of defense with kicks, punches, practice in elbows and knees, as well as chops. Also I learned some basic grappling and takedowns from Taekwondo too. I use BJJ as my second martial in terms of defense for grappling, takedowns, and especially ground fighting. The reason I took Muay Thai was just to practice my boxing and clinch fighting skills a little bit more.

good to see other tma ist's here!
I've practiced wing chun and wado-ryu karate for a while and loved wing chun especially.
It's good to have a place free of flaming and taunting here and I look forward to some intelligent discussion of the classical arts.

Hello All, I wont be around much this week I'm tied up with work
I have studied a number of styles over the years, my main ones are shotokan and shito ryu. but i am familiar with most karate styles as well as several other japanese and okinawan styles.
I also have to laugh a bit. since bjj and muay thai are both older then many tma styles. and yet people consider it modern, when i consider it ancient.

kokoro- yeah I think thats funny about ages of the arts too lol like tkd was created in the 1950s and is considered traditional but bartitsu was created in the late 1890s and is a modern martial arts...

Hi. I am a traditional martial artist. Past training in Judo and Shotokan Karate (Brown belt). Currently I study Hapkido and can't get enough of it:) Might look into Haidong Gumdo in the future too.
