I don't know about that...Vegemite tastes a bit like BBQ scrapings. It wouldn't be the first time somebody combined sweet and savoury to get good effects, just look at roast pork, goes best with apple and cranberry and other sweet sauces.

I don't really eat the stuff but we have the stuff everywhere here in the english side of canada since we were england until like 30 years ago lol

I always get confused by Canada because people keep telling me that there are two parts, French-Canadian and English-Canadian but are you guys a Republic or a part of the Commonwealth?

It's a cultural thing really.
We are basically what happens when you mix a bunch of british colonies with a french colony in the arctic & then abandon them to die but they survive to hate themselves lol
quebec & new brunswick are provinces in the east that predominantly french culturally because it was new france for a long time and millions of french people moved there
all the other provinces were at one point separate english colonies and through dirty underhanded tactics the brittish managed to gain control over it all but apparently the french still hate the english and vice versa even though they live in the same country lol

I do not live in the best country to laugh about a colony being expected to die. Here's an amusing summary of Australia and its discovery.

@fraiser- I can't remember if it's vegimite I like or marmalite I always get them mixed up lol
and I always wondered why canada & australia never had better diplomatic relations concerning trade and such considering we are basically cousins from england, scotland & ireland mostly any ways.
I'm also going to try a maple vegimite and maple ham I hope it turns out good!
